Who are BizAdvice?

Some have described our coaching and mentoring services as having a second head of knowledge and experience – in other words your personal business confidant who knows and understands the pressures and responsibilities that only you, the head of the business, must address. BizAdvice business mentors and coaches draw on a wealth of personal knowledge and expertise at both strategic and tactical levels to give you expert support as you drive your business to success. Each mentor is a former GM, CEO or MD of a successful business enterprise and possesses decades of experience in niche industries and general corporate management in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. The BizAdvice team are skilled business mentors and coaches, who have “been there –done that”, and are trained in active listening, adult learning, and one-to-one collaboration. Patrick Bell – Managing Director & Principal Mentor Victoria)

PatrickBellAboutUsPage Patrick Bell has more than 30 years’ experience as a business leader. He is the principal mentor and founder of BizAdvice. His methodology is simple, straightforward, effective, and comes from having done it himself. He has completed a Masters of Business Administration, specialising in Strategic Management. He also has twenty years’ experience in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, services and the not-for-profit sector, where he has held positions of Managing Director, CEO, Executive and Non-Executive Board positions. He currently is the chair of two very successful boards: Web Marketing Experts, the 11th fastest growing company in Australia (BRW March 2013), and the Macedon Ranges Tourism Board, which increased visitations by 9% last year in tough economic times.

Garry Thomas – Executive Director & Senior Mentor Victoria)

GT  photoGarry Thomas specialises in helping businesses create and maintain the workforce of the future. He has a Graduate Diploma in Business and over 35 years’ experience at CEO and senior executive levels in both the public and private sectors. Over the last 7 years Garry has developed expert knowledge in the recruitment, training, and employment services, as well as vocational education sectors. He has also successfully delivered strategic consultancy services for corporate Australia, government agencies, and not-for-profit organisations through his company Acuto Consulting. A skilled facilitator, Garry has assisted both large and small companies leverage government funding, develop effective succession planning and design workforce development strategies to achieve business excellence and return on investment. Garry also set up and managed MAS National which was one of the most successful Australian Apprenticeships Centres in Australia.
